Vocabulary for keywords in codemeta

  • Existing metadata key

Describe the problem or requirement

We need to extend and better define the keywords that should be used in the codemeta files. Deliverable D3.7 defines keywords for the ESFRIs and ERICs that are part of ESCAPE but these will be of limited use to potential users of onboarded software that have data from other facilities or from multiple facilities.

Do you have a proposal already?

In addition to the ESFRI keywords already listed in D3.7 request addition of keywords from a domain-specific controlled vocabulary. For astronomy/astro-particle physics the Unified Astronomy Thesaurus (UAT) is the most logical vocabulary. This is mentioned in the Top 10 FAIR Data & Software things. Do we need a vocabulary for particle physics as well in ESCAPE?
