This is a mixture of basic typo and style tweaks ("it's" <-> "its", breaking big paragraphs in smaller chunks) and more in-deptyh opinionated changes. I will discuss the latter through Gitlab comments.

Also, note that you can get a more precise diff from the Git command-line than what Gitlab provides you by fetching my branch locally and calling git diff --minimal --word-diff=color master readme-v1-review-HG.
