extension not appearing ("this.actor.set_child is not a function" in lg)

I installed hamster extension now and activated it in gnome-tweak-tool but don't see any changes, does it put an icon on the top? I tried reloading gnome-shell and relogging in... not seeing anything. BTW, thanks for looking into this stuff.
