Hey @mastaa (and @ohartwig might be interested too).

Following MFR, let's adopt the conventions we agreed on. I create the same MR for PyTDI as well, so that it should be consistent in the next batch of releases. Tell me what you think!

I think it makes perfect sense to adopt the new notations. I will try to use the changes in some test the next days so we can be (more) sure we didn't miss anything...

That sounds great! I can also add some basic unit tests for different configurations as well.
